The Rio Frío River Boat ride is a must for all bird watchers and nature lovers. Located about ca. 1.5 hrs away from the town of La Fortuna, a very slow going boat ride a long the Rio Frío in the Caño Negro Region will delight you with monkeys, iguanas, numerous bird species, and crocodiles. The river flows from the mountains into the Lake of Nicaragua.
